    How do you differentiate between a "death rattle" due to failing control arm bushings vs. a "high speed wobble" induced by an out--of-balance wheel?? I guess the wiggle test.

      If you have the death wobble you will know. Its bad, not like a unbalanced wheel.

    Our 2004 Honda Accord EX V6 4/D, in fabulous shape with 360,000 miles and she still runs great, handle the HWY like she always did, she just developed a left sided A/C issue and is warm then the right, we changed the cabin filter which was really dirty. Our valued and trusted mechanic of many years checked the vehicle and removed all of the old fluid and replaced them. Prior to taking my car in I checked my vehicle as I always do with my FIXD code reader, it said there was no issues, the problem with the left side running warm compared to the right side wasn’t indicated. The mechanic told us he did the best he could but thought the whole front dash would need to come off to make a repair, Something he said he doesn’t do, said it would be about $1500 to fix, he did the best he could and it worked great for a few days, but then using the vehicle I parked in the sun on a 90° day, turned the vehicle on, heard a pop and steam/mist started coming from the right side toward the front of the hood. Vehicle is fine, other then me being afraid to use the A/C, temp was running middle of the road,hasn’t over heated, but i need my A/C. FIXD said there was a compressor issue. Would changing the compressor mitigate having to take the dash off and where can I get a compressor? Sorry this is so long, I can hear my husband saying “get to the point” LOL!!! Thanks so much for your very informative video D and F

      @TheGAutomotiveAndMore День тому

      You do not need to remove dash to get to the compressor. The compressor is under the hood. But it sounds like the overpressure valve blew off. Be sure the cooling fans are working.

      Btw, how many quarts of 0W-20 y’all put in? Owners manual says 5.9qt but I think that’s a lot. I put 5 in, run it, let it sit, then check the oil level (in the stupid settings and not with a dipstick because it doesn’t have one) and it says it’s full.

    There is a round cardboard ring that you insert to hold the brushes open, allowing you to leave the brush springs on the brushes. When you insert the armature the ring falls into its place. Brushes collapse on armature. Then you install the magnet housing. Then finish the rest of the assembly.

    Excellent video shots! My mechanic replaced our Jeep Patriot exhaust manifold/Cat and it solved our pesky 420 code; however, less than 48 hrs afterward, our AC quit working. From your video it looks possible one could damage the refrigerant lines if they were tired, angry, or let something slip. I thank God for guys like you who have the patience to do this. I was told by my shop's manager that my mechanic let a lot of 4 letter words fly on this job, now i see why. I sure miss the older cars 1970s where you could access most components without dismantling 1/4 of the engine compartment to get to what you want to inspect.
